On May 15, 2024, our KS3 students, along with six Year 10 literature students, enjoyed a captivating trip to see Shakespeare’s Othello. Accompanied by KS3 Homeroom Teachers and English Literature teachers, this excursion offered a shared cultural experience that deepened their appreciation for classical literature and theatre.
The trip provided a firsthand look at theatre culture and etiquette, enriching the students’ understanding of stagecraft. They observed effective staging and drama skills, which will enhance their own school performances. Witnessing Othello live brought Shakespeare’s text to life, making classroom learning more vivid and impactful.
This enriching experience left our students inspired and more deeply connected to the world of literature and drama.
