In Term 2, British Scouting Overseas(BSO) students embarked on a heartwarming journey for their Term 2 service project with the Independent Living & Training Centre (ILTC), a beacon of empowerment for disabled individuals.
The Scouts’ dedication and the generous contributions of parents resulted in a remarkable RM 1233 raised—RM 633 from the Scouts and additional donations.
Hands-on training, including wheelchair maneuvering on ramps, set the stage for a memorable excursion to Malacca on January 20th. 25 Scouts showcased their strength and abilities by assisting 16 wonderful individuals at Melaka Zoo, the Clock Tower area, and Taming Sari Tower. ️
Witnessing our Scouts tirelessly pushing wheelchairs up slopes was inspiring, matched only by the infectious joy of the disabled participants who sprinkled the day with laughter and camaraderie. ✨ Bonds were forged, jokes were shared, and by the end, everyone was like family, on a first-name basis.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible teachers, Mr Kumar, Ms Taneesha, and Ms Sharmila, for guiding our Scouts on this transformative journey. #BSOServiceProject #EmpowermentInAction #ScoutingForAll
