Teachers are no less than students and rockstars, educational rockstars when it comes to having fun while sharing and refining their skills. The Social Science Department along with the ever-enthusiastic Primary team of teachers explored and revisited various teaching and learning strategies. Together they explored the rainbow chain activity where they looked at the structure and organisation of a response; the making-a-difference session brought out the differentiated strategies that may be adopted in the classroom to make teaching and learning fun, relatable and more meaningful; the selfie strategy was an interesting way to get students to evaluate and reflect on their knowledge and understanding of the concept and content. The massive sharing of best practices provided a refreshed class activities approach plus transition from the primary to the secondary. These refresher sessions surely will lead to a more stimulating and effective teaching and learning environment.
